To the mooovies! Haha. What a joke! Speaking of movies, there have been quite a few interesting-looking ones out in theaters. Toy Story 3 looks good to me. I’ve heard it’s a little sad though. Maybe once I see the second one and find a little free time, I’ll head to the theater to see it. Better yet, I’ll wait until it comes to the dollar theater near USF. Actually, now that I think about it, it is no longer the dollar theater. In order to provide movies in a quicker amount of time, the theater decided to charge $3 for admission. No matter what way you look at it, it’s a deal!

The Starplex Cinema is a great way to take a break from your school work. Not only is it affordable and fun, but it is also very close to campus. 🙂 Check out the link to see prices, movies, and contact information.

Today was a special day here in the Admissions Office. To thank the student workers for our hard work, the admissions counselors treated us to lunch! Our pizza came from Lexy’s, which is pretty close to USF. We ordered three different types of pizza. Most people flocked towards the veggie pizza. While veggie isn’t my absolute favorite, this kind was pretty great. I also tried the pepperoni pizza…again, very yummy. We also had cheese pizza and by the looks of the empty box, I’d say people enjoyed it as well.

Since I knew we were being treated to pizza today, I thought it would be nice to bring in a dessert to go with our lunch. Thanks to my best friend, Jaclyn, I was able to make a tasty brownie recipe. My brownie recipe has a bottom layer of brownie, a middle layer of melted chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter and rice crispies, and a top layer of marshmallow creme. In case any of you want to try it, here’s the recipe…

one box of brownie mix
one cup of chocolate chips
one cup of butterscotch chips
one cup of peanut butter
three cups of rice crispies
one jar of marshmallow creme

1. Prepare brownies as directed on box.
2. Mix chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter in a bowl.
3. Melt the mixture in the microwave. (I usually do 30 second intervals to ensure that they won’t burn.)
4. Mix rice crispies and melted ingredients together.
5. Pour mixture over cooled brownies.
6. When the mixture has cooled, spread the marshmallow creme on top.

Enjoy! 🙂
